The Importance of Absurdity

So...I found this song the other day in the folder of stuff I downloaded a couple years ago. Ironically, I just found out in the past 2 months that the guy who wrote this (Justin Rosolino) is recording a new cd, which Im really excited about, especially since we havent really heard anything from him in 4 or so years. Anywhoo, I just love this song. I always have and Id be willing to bet that I continue to do so for quite some time. I made Lindsay Holland listen to it today (along with a ton of other songs, poor thing!), so I'll make you listen to it too! Clips can be found here. Oh, and I didn't have the whole song saved, so this was the only part I remembered. But it's enough!

If I could just hear you say out loud
That you regret it,
All the things that made you disappear.
If you would admit you knew the sorrow,
Id accept it,
Like a guilty child knows fear.
If I could just see inside your head
While you remember
The way we both hated life alone.
If you would just say that Im the one
That you let slip away
And not some circumstance that youd outgrown

Cause what I needed you to give
Is what you took from me
Assurance that I alone could earn your love,
That it was me who wrote the book on loveability.
I need to see your loss, I guess
You only truly loved me if you loved the others less
Its written on the rooftops, but my heart will not confess, so just

Tell me Im the only one you ever loved and lost
Tell me that your leaving you more, yeah
Sing to me of the selfless way I served you
Cause my kinda love wont go without reward
