The Importance of Absurdity

I am absolutely freaking out. And I don't generally freak out. We go back to school day after tomorrow. Less than 48 freakin' hours! It's not that I haven't done what I needed to do. I read My Name is Asher Lev and have started on The Gift of Asher Lev (which isn't even required!) and already have a slight idea about the huge research paper that will go along with it a month from now (don't you love it when you freak out about deadlines for papers that really haven't been assigned yet???). I'm not flipping out about my exam and semester grades either. I mean, I felt pretty darn confident about those exams and I know my 2nd quarter grades were good. In fact, last semester could even do some real good for my GPA. Especially if I aced my history exam (ahhh, you gotta love the 6-point scale!).
But that's all besides the point. The reason I'm freaking out is that we go back on Monday. We then get the 20th off for MLK day. And then we don't have another day off until April 14!!! That's like 3 straight months of school! Talk about putting me though hell! Not only the 3 straight months, but during junior year too! I'm going to go absolutely insane! Because, as soon as I get back from spring break, we have AP tests!!! I'm gonna flippin' die! Honestly, I'm not gonna be able to stop and breathe until the end of May! And by that time, I'll hardly have time left to enjoy high school (oh, it is glorious though that I only have 3 semesters left!)!!! Ok, hyperventilationage!!! Breathe, breathe, breathe...
