The Importance of Absurdity

Just wanted to mention that March 29 will be the best day ever known to mankind. Or maybe not. But it will be the date of the best show in the Raleigh/Durham area all year, and possibly longer. My favorite singer/songwriter ever is playing with my favorite local band, at one of (if not period) my favorite venues. Yes, it's true. Eric Peters and SpencerAcuff are playing at Six String Cafe in Cary, on March 29. At 8pm. Rock.

I've officially decided that something needs to be done to this blog. But I have no idea what. Any suggestions?

I think I've finally reached the end of the craziness that's otherwise known as my life. No wait. I haven't reached the end of my life, just the craziness. Haha. Diving ended this weekend. My last practice was Thursday and I spent all Friday watching my teammates compete at States. I'm gonna miss that team like heck. I adore every last one of them. And honestly, how often do I like every single person in a group that I didn't personally choose to be a part of? My guess would be never. Except that team. And it really sucks that I'm never gonna see a good chunk of them again.
In other news, I'm about to start looking for a new job. As great as my current job is some times, I don't want to serve ice cream all summer. After all, my boss is completely devoid of any shred of intelligence and I can't get even hardly get any hours, let alone good ones. I'm hoping to get something a little more related to my interests. The bookstores are all at the top of that list, as are a few other various places. I'm actually pretty excited about job searching this time. My two previous experiences were not fun. On both occasions, I was in desperate need of a job, meaning that I had to take the first one that was offered. And the only reason I applied to those places is because I needed a job so badly. This time, I can take my time and only apply to places where I actually have a desire to work. I'm not in any sort of rush. And, if I start now, I should be in good shape for jobs currently held by students who'll be leaving in early May. Being 18 and having some decent work experience will definitely help this time too. As will the fact that I'm wanting to work around 30 hours a week this summer. So yes, this should be good!
