The Importance of Absurdity

So here I am. With not much time to say much of anything. I've meaning meaning to post something for a couple days, but I've lost hold of everything. Did I really honestly think my life would settle down after the season was over? Silly silly me. I did actually type out a post last night, but proceeded to get sidetracked with international relations research and financial aid forms (by the way, for those of you who don't know, I got into Rhodes!). I'm currently writing between putting together a bulletin board (not a billboard!) for IR and going to a tennis match, which will be followed by FCA. And then Sarah and Brandon are coming!
Since I haven't been writing much lately, I've been trying to come up with ways to "make" myself. Not that I want to force myself to write. I don't. But I do have plenty to say and I do like blogging. I'm just always so rushed to do other stuff. But I think I have a (temporary) solution. We're reading Remains of the Day in English, and heaven forbid we should ever be able to just read and discuss a book without other retarded busy work assignments to go with it. But this time, the assignment's good. We have to write 15 page long journals, about anything (mostly focusing on decisions we've made or not made, since our overall theme this semester is action/inaction and consequence). Clearly, that's gonna be the easiest thing in the world for me. When my teacher told us that putting them in a spiral notebook would be a good idea, a friend of mine wondered aloud how he could want us to "waste" that much paper, since 15 entries would only take up 15 pages. Ha. Funny. I fully expect to use the better part of a 1-subject notebook. Considering I've been known to go through one every two weeks with my nighttime writings. But that's all besides the point. The point is, I can kill two birds with one stone here, by posting my English journals. I've already got some really nice ideas of what to write about. So basically, this place should be alive again soon.
