The Importance of Absurdity

I'm FINALLY done with classes for the semester. Y'all have no idea how much of a relief it is. I mean, I spent almost 6 hours doing English homework last night. And that was just my English! I really haven't even started studying for exams yet. Which isn't good, seeing as tomorrow's my hardest day (environmental and English). But today was a very good day. I spent all of APES eating Bojangles and reading the school paper. We did half of our exam (a 1 page position paper) in international relations. All we did in calculus was review. I ate lunch at Randy's (the best pizza place on earth) with Wendy, Natalie, Elyse, Miki, Alex and Mike. Natalie, Miki and I were supposed to be studying for Euro, but that definitely didn't happen. In English, we watched more of our modern interpretations of Pride and Prejudice. Even Euro wasn't all that bad. We had to write the essay part of our exam. He definitely didn't pick the question I want (I could have written 10 pages on Spain!), but it was all good. I wrote about the continual secularization of European society. I think I did pretty well. Especially since I cheated and finished up in the 5 minutes after class ended. Oh well. Then Lee, Tory and I recycled. I didn't even pretend to go to orchestra today. I flat out told him yesterday that I wasn't gonna be there. After he told me that I don't have to go to the exam period Friday. Rock.
In other news, it's only 20 more hours until I get to see Return of the King with Jess. It will be amazing. The movie, of course, will be phenomenal. But it's been so long since I've hung out with just Jess...as in, I seriously don't remember the last time. We've been so busy the past couple months and are in dire need of some serious catching up. Before and after the movie, of course. And if seeing ROTK tomorrow weren't enough, I also have FBC Christmas youth group. And even though I don't get to play guitar(stupid flu and orchestra made me miss all the rehearsals), they do want me to sing. And I like singing. Especially Christmas songs. Yay for that.
Also, my big brother got home last night. From Scotland. He's been gone for 4 months. So it was quite fun to see him. And I'm determined to hold off our first argument/fight for as long as possible. But since we're back to 3 of us sharing 1 bathroom, 1 car (Mike's broke down) and 2 computers...I doubt it'll last long. It is rather funny though that both of them are now asking me for rides everywhere. I like being the one with a functioning car. It's just wierd to have both of them home though. It's been a year since all three of us were home at the same time for an extended period of time.
And now, off to diving. Interestingly enough, I got voted as my school's girls captain last week. Wierdness. We have an intrasquad on Thursday (the only semi-real meets we'll be having) and I still have 6 dives to get. Four of which I've done before. So we'll see what I can get done tonight. I got nothing accomplished Saturday because 2 girls in a row either hit or nearly hit the board on inwards. Everyone's confidence was completely gone for the rest of practice. I hate that it's so mental like that. But in any event, I'm late for practice now.
