Yesterday was mulch day. I don't know why I like mulch day so much, but I do. It's always me, my mom and my dad. Somehow, the bro's always got out of it. 'Course, this year, my mom was gone. But it was good to be outside. And even though I'd just gotten out of the shower when my dad called me out, it was still all good. Anywhoo, mulch day means that spring's officially here. And it is! I wore shorts today for the first time!

And, in absolutely amazingly wonderful news, I GOT INTO GOVERNOR'S SCHOOL!!! Honestly, y'all cannot believe how much this surprised me. Especially since I wasn't expecting to hear until yesterday (I got my letter Friday). Man, I ran up the steps (dropped all the mail, of 'course!) and tore that thing open. And there wasn't even anyone to share the good news with! I wanted desperately to call Natalie, but I was afraid she'd start crying if she didn't get in or didn't get her letter. But she got in too! Yeah, so I'll definitely post more about it later (oh, you can be sure of that!), but for now, I must go.
